Fellowship for Performing Arts (FPA) is a not-for-profit production company founded by Max McLean. It is known for adapting The Screwtape Letters for the stage, but there are many other excellent plays they have done. In this podcast interview (recorded March 2019), William O'Flaherty spoke with Max about the Screwtape production, the other Lewis-related plays, as well as other shows FPA has done. Hear Max reveal that his adaptation of The Great Divorce will be touring again soon and other interesting details, like how C.S. Lewis dramatically impacted his own life.

This is the second and final part of the panel discussion from the 2015 C.S. Lewis and Inklings Society (CSLIS) Conference that was at the end of March. The keynote speakers were Dr. Jerry Root and Dr. Diana Glyer. William O'Flaherty moderated the session that was held at Grove City College (in PA) this year (the annual conference is at a different location each year). Dr. Jerry Root and Dr. Diana Glyer were the keynote speakers for the 18th Annual Conference of the C.S. Lewis and Inklings Society (CSLIS) which is held at a different location each year. For 2015, it was at Grove City College (in PA) at the end of March. This is the first of a two-part episode that was moderated by William O'Flaherty. Here are the questions addressed for this segment:

Tell us about your first encounter with the writings of C.S. Lewis...how old were you and what were your impressions?

Max McLean's stage production of The Screwtape Letters has been a hit in major cities across the United States. The play features Screwtape (frequently performed by McLean) and his assistant, Toadpipe in a witty adaptation of the book. William O'Flaherty spoke with him back in 2013 about this work and related matters, including the stage version of The Great Divorce that began touring since the original posting of this interview.
