C.S. Lewis Society of California
Monday Feb 15, 2016
Monday Feb 15, 2016
C.S. Lewis societies have existed for a number of years. They range in size from a few dozen or less members to hundreds of members. Some have been around for a short time and others have decades of longevity behind them. Based out of Oakland in the U.S., the C.S. Lewis Society of California has been around for many years. It is an independent, non-profit, Christian, educational and cultural organization interested in events, publications, and other developments that advance deeper understanding of the enduring philosophical, cultural, historical, literary, spiritual, social, and economic issues of mankind. William O'Flaherty recently spoke with David Theroux, the president of the group.

(Re-Post) EC07r - Myth Became Fact (with Dr. Michael Ward)
Thursday Feb 11, 2016
Thursday Feb 11, 2016

"Myth Became Fact" was the seventh essay chat I produced back in 2012. Although not directly related to Easter, it does touch on some aspects of it. I had the pleasure of catching up with Dr. Michael Ward, author of The Narnia Code and other books for this discussion. Note that we had some recording problems and the audio quality unfortunately didn't come out as well as hoped. The essay is best found in God in the Dock.

The following is a repeat of an earlier essay chat I first posted in 2012. This is the fifth in an occasional series of programs examining a single shorter work by C.S. Lewis. Today Will Vaus is my guest, he has written a number of books related to C.S. Lewis. Below you can find links to some I've done an interview with him. In this program we explore "The Seeing Eye" which is most easily found in the book Christian Reflections.

(Re-Post) The Screwtape Letters: Annotated Edition (2016R)
Sunday Feb 07, 2016
Sunday Feb 07, 2016
This is show about The Screwtape Letters: Annotated Edition was first shared here on Podbean this past Monday, but was previously released on my old hosting site.

Back in 2014 I first released this interview with Paul McCusker about The Screwtape Letters: Annotated Edition that had only been release a few months before that show was posted. I had yet to share this conversation again since moving my podcast hosting to Podbean, so it has been unavailable for awhile. This year (2016) is the 75th anniversary of the letters first appearing in a small church publication before they came out in book form in the UK in 1942. So, it seem especially important to share interview again because of this fact. Learn how Paul became involved in this project and what information you will and won't see in it.
